Made in Italy

Two slices of toasted bread topped with cherry tomatoes, fresh greens, creamy burrata cheese, and a drizzle of balsamic glaze, served on a green rectangular plate on a wooden table.
5/5

I discovered this gem of a restaurant in this unassuming strip mall across from the Auto Mall. It did not disappoint.

I don't usually eat a big lunch, and I've been on a kick for burrata, so it was exciting to find Crostone on their menu; farmers market tomato bruschetta,
burrata & balsamic glaze on house bread.

First the bread: epic! Thick, rustic, crusty but springy middle griddle cooked to perfection. Mmm. That bread with their evoo and balsamic would have sufficed as a meal.
But then on to the perfectly sweet and well picked cherry tomatoes with a creamy very generous helping of burrata made a perfect foil for the bread. The balsamic drizzle was Goldilocks-right, not too tart, not too sweet, not too sticky. Topped with baby arugula and fresh basil and this was a meal to die for.

I can't wait to go back to try more items on their menu, but I might have a hard time getting past this one dish!
