Get In Touch

Niki in a red dress drinks wine, surrounded by overlapping postcards of famous Italian landmarks such as canals, ruins, and historic buildings.

Some people travel to see the world. We travel to taste it.

The Galavanting Gastronome is a culinary travel journal built on a simple belief: the best way to understand a place is through what it grows, cooks, pours, and serves. Not the tourist version — the real version. The market stall that’s been there for three generations. The wine that only exists within a ten-mile radius. The dish that can’t be replicated anywhere else on earth.

We are equal-opportunity foodies. A Michelin-starred tasting menu and a beloved hole-in-the-wall earn the same reverence here, because extraordinary food has nothing to do with price and everything to do with intention.

This is slow travel journalism — the kind that lingers long enough to get the story right.

What you’ll find here are long-form destination guides, culinary dispatches, hotel and restaurant writing, and drink culture, all told with the specificity that comes from actually showing up, slowing down, and paying attention. TGG has been featured in SoCal Life Magazine and Escapes and Escapades.
